Heres wishing everyone who lives in Tadcaster and the surrounding area, a Happy, Prosperous and Blessed New Year.
Lets make a year of it with a positive attitude, with less grumbling on the message board and elsewhere. Lets try to make it a good year for everyone, not just selfishly looking to our own personal needs and pleasures. As someone said on the radio this morning, none of us are islands, what each of us does, like it or not, has a positive or negative effect on someone else on this planet. It is down to each and every one of us to make the right decision to have a positive effect with every choice we make rather than the selfish "I'm all right Jack, pull the ladder up" approach, that most of us apply to any and everything we do.
Remember that if you shine a light in a dark place, the darkness vanishes. Why not try to shine some light into someone elses darkplaces every day of this New Year and help to make it a Happy New Year for everyone.
