TADCASTER youngsters have been doing their bit for the victims of the Boxing Day tsunami by organising a clothing collection.
Members of the town's Manor Farm Youth Club took to the streets on Monday night to deliver leaflets publicising their collection.
They are looking for unwanted clothing which they will give to Oxfam to help raise money for the tsunami victims.
Headteacher at Riverside Primary School Tony Kingston and Community Officer PC Liz Boyle joined around 15 youngsters and youth workers during the leaflet delivery this week.
Rebecca Todd, one of the youth workers organising the project, said the group have already had offers from some residents to sort the clothing as well as some donations.
She added her thanks to everyone who has supported the project so far.
Anyone with any donations can take them to the centre on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between 7pm and 8.30pm or call Rebecca on 01937 530943 to arrange a drop-off.
The group are also looking for anyone who can help provide flat-pack boxes to package the clothes.
